Born in November of 1920, Groditski was a member of the Somers Senior Citizens.

Martin Burke Jr., 92, Somers World War II Veteran

SOMERS, N.Y. – Martin "Joe" J. Burke Jr. of Somers died May 13 at Putnam Hospital Center in Carmel, N.Y. He was 92.  

Burke was born Nov. 27, 1919 in Yonkers to Martin J. and Ursula “Ruby” Burke. A World War II veteran, he served in the U.S. Army. Burke retired after 40 years of service as supervisor of the New York City Department of Health.
